Il suo territorio infatti copre gran parte della catena dei monti Tatra. Il parco offre dei paesaggi stupendi arricchiti dalla presenza di laghi, cascate, grotte ed immense vallate. Durante le escursioni non è affatto difficile imbattersi nei vari animali che vivono in questi luoghi. In particolare è possibile scorgere i camosci, dato che ve ne sono parecchi. Tant’è vero che il camoscio è stato prescelto quale simbolo del parco stesso.
