Wawel

Wawel (in polacco Wzgórze wawelskie) è il nome di una collina situata sulla riva sinistra del fiume Vistola a Cracovia, in Polonia, a un'altitudine di 228 metri sul livello del mare. È un luogo simbolico e ha grande significato per i polacchi. Il Castello Reale e la Cattedrale sono situati sulla collina. I reali della Polonia e alcuni illustri polacchi sono sepolti nella Cattedrale e le incoronazioni dei re avvenivano proprio lì.
